My Favourite Foundations 💎

image.jpeg

Evening lovely people! I thought I would just post a little bit about my favourite foundations! For me, the base of my face has to work well because then the rest of my make up will work 😝 I have combination to oily skin and I do like matte foundations but I also like my dewy ones! 💎💎

First up is the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation. I am in love with this. Ever since I tried it I’ve been obsessing over it and find myself always going back to it. It gives me the coverage that I need, feels and looks so naturally matte on my skin (whilst being full coverage) and it makes me feel like I’m putting goodness onto my face! It also gives a matte silky finish. This retails for £25 and I think this is a great price for what it does! This lasts so long on too! You don’t need a lot and it also acts as a concealer too! ❤️

Next up is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum. This is my favourite light weight foundation and I adore it when I have good skin days and when I can just get away with it too! For a drugstore foundation, this performs exceptionally well. It looks gorgeous on the skin, giving you a healthy, flawless glow and lasts hours on! It’s light to medium coverage but can still cover some blemishes. It’s a dewy finish and looks a treat! This retails for £10.99 so bargain! I would even pay a little more for this 😝 ❤️

Next in the line is Mac Studio Fix Fluid. This will always be my number 1 foundation that I will come back too. I started to use this a few years ago and fell in love. It’s full coverage, and makes your skin look amazing, almost photoshopped. It looks fab in pictures and it lasts forever! It’s a matte finish and I love pairing it with the Mac Studio fix powder! Fave combo 😊 This retails for £22 and is 110% worth the money! ❤️

Last but not least, Nars Sheer Glow. This is a recent discovery and I have fallen head over heels for it. It’s similar to the healthy mix serum but it’s a more full to medium coverage. I tend to stir to this when I want a dewy, full coverage, and ‘hd’ finish to my face. It again, lasts a good while. This has been my go to for the last few weeks and I have feeling it will be staying there. It’s a dewy finish, and retails for £31! At little on the pricey side and I wish it was lower but nevertheless, it is STUNNING ❤️

Review 🌸 Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation Stick

image
I had wanted to try this foundation for a very long time but I was putting it off as I had a few foundations that I hadn’t finished yet. Once I had finished off other bottles, I decided to get it as I had heard such great things about and had seen it in nikkie tutorials videos and it looked stunning!

When I got it I quickly undid the packaging to see if it was the correct shade (shade number in third picture) it was a little pale but nothing a bit of powder and bronzer couldn’t fix.
With first applied (with a damp beauty blender) the consistency was very creamy and it gave an almost sheer but meduim coverage to the skin, I must admit I was a little disappointed because I wanted it to be more full coverage, however, I discovered that it was build able which made me surprised because it was so creamy so I thought it would go Cakey, but it didn’t.

Now for what it looks like: I don’t know if these pictures of me with it on can do it any justice, but this hands down wins at being the most flawless, ‘hd’ looking foundation that I have ever tried. I was super happy because for once my skin looked a look more radiant and therefore gave off a very healthy glow! I applied translucent powder as it was very creamy so wanted it to stay out a bit more and it settled wonderfully after that! I found that the more that I blended this foundation into my skin, the more softer and flawless it looked. I also used this under my eyes and it gave a nice coverage to my dark circles without creasing up.

It did transfer a little, but not as much as other foundations I have tried. They also have a good variety of shades which is awesome because it can reach out to a lot of skin tones and make it more accessible for many people!

I wore this foundation for about 6 hours and it was quite hot that day. It stayed put all day and the only real places it started to get oily was my t zone as that’s my most oiliest part of my face!

This foundation is honestly beautiful, it gives off a satin finish and feels very lightweight on the skin. It’s available to buy from Debenhams and the Make Up Forever website and retails for about £29.

Review 🌸 L’Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara

image

As I was on the hunt for a new mascara as I hadn’t brought one in a while, I saw this in boots on introductory offer for £5.99 (originally £7.99) and I was very interested to see what it was like. There is some amazing mascara’s on the highstreet and one of my faves is also from L’Oreal (telescopic mascara) so here is the L’Oreal Paris Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara!

From what I understand it’s suppose to give you that festival/feathery look and now summer is here it sounded perfect! I have quite short eyelashes so most mascara’s tend to make my lashes look clumpy and stuck together. The brush is quite chunky and at first when I opened it I was a little scared that it was going to make a total mess. When applied it went on very well and gave my lashes a feathery lash look ( second image on picture) and i really liked the look of it, on the first coat it didn’t really lengthen my lashes it just defined them more.

On the second coat ( third image on picture) it gave them a lot more lift, it did go slightly clumpy but still gave that nice separation that I wanted, however the fluttery effect didn’t come out as well as I expected. It for sure, gave my eyelashes volume and lift, but I was expecting a little more with this. Also, it was a little messy with application but nothing unmanageable, I just wish the wand was a little smaller so I could get more precision.

I allowed it to dry for a couple of minutes then took a far away picture to see what it looked like overall (last image on picture) and I was quite surprised because my lashes had settled and it showed more of that fluttery look. Don’t get me wrong, it still made my lashes look dramatic but not as much as other mascara’s with chunky wands.

All in all, I enjoyed this mascara, I think I would most likely wear one coat on those days where I’m going to the beach or out and about and don’t want to wear much make up then wear the second coat for more of a festival or night time look.
